Sally Israel who is a founding member of JGSTB. For a long, long item, Sally has created and managed the publicity for JGSTB. At our September 2022 meeting JGSTB honored Sally for her contribution to our society. We appreciate immensely her time with us and her dedication to our group. Thank You Sally!!!
Long-time JGSTB members Bill and Sally Israel have been honored as Lightning Community Heroes by the Tampa Bay Lightning Foundation. This honor was bestowed upon Bill and Sally on April 4, 2021. Click here to read more. They donated their award of $50,000 to Gulf Coast Jewish Community and Family Services Food Pantry, which now bears their name. About Us
The Jewish Genealogical Society of Tampa Bay (JGSTB), founded in 1999 by a group of interested individuals in the greater Tampa Bay area, brings together those who have an interest in learning how to research their Jewish family roots.
Our mission is very simple. We're here to help YOU accurately identify and document members of your family.
We are a member society of the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies, an umbrella group of more than 70 organizations representing more than 9,000 members worldwide. We are a non-profit 501(3)(c) educational organization under the Internal Revenue Code.
Our activities include the following:

Acquiring and organizing research materials

Arranging genealogical programs and meetings

We meet once a month (excluding July and August) at the offices of Gulf Coast Jewish Family & Community Services in Clearwater. Please feel free to join us at our next meeting to learn more about our society.
