From the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies conference team:

The 46th IAJGS International Conference on Jewish Genealogy will be held virtually, April 4–6, 2027.

This fully global virtual conference is being designed with the same spirit you know from past conferences, just in a new format. Live sessions will run from 5:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. ET, with 90 days of on-demand access to every recorded session, so you can join live or catch up on your own time.

What to expect:

  • Lectures and workshops on research methods, records, and tools

  • Storytelling sessions from fellow researchers

  • Panels, roundtables, and special interest group programming

  • New formats — lightning talks and casual "schmooze sessions" — built to recreate the hallway-conversation energy you know from in-person conferences

  • Live video chats and breakout rooms with speakers, exhibitors, and each other

We know a screen isn't the same as a convention center. That's exactly why we built the Schmooze Factor into this event. It will be real conversations, not just a lecture feed. And we're already looking ahead as we build toward an in-person conference in 2028. This virtual gathering is part of how we're getting there - stronger...

A call for session proposals opens soon. So, if you've presented before (or have always wanted to) keep an eye out. Full registration details are coming in the months ahead.
