Finding My DNA Cousin without a DNA Test

The Jewish Genealogical Society of Tampa Bay’s Sunday, March 15, meeting will feature genealogist Daniel Horowitz, who will speak about finding DNA cousins without a DNA test. With top-of-the-line technology to identify potential relatives through shared family tree connections, you can contact cousins, verify information, and expand your family tree—no swab or spit required.

Dedicated to Genealogy since 1986, Horowitz was the teacher and the study guide editor of the family history project "Searching for My Roots" in Venezuela for 15 years. He is involved in several crowdsource digitization and transcription projects and is president of the Israel Genealogy Research Association (IGRA) and has held leadership positions with the IAJGS. Since 2006 Horowitz has been working at MyHeritage as a liaison to genealogy societies, bloggers and media, as well as lecturing, and attending conferences around the world.
