Meeting
The JGSTB's June meeting will feature a recorded presentation by the L’Dor V’Dor Foundation on its project to use artificial intelligence to transcribe handwritten documents such as letters, memoirs and community reports that are in Jewish languages. The languages the project is currently working on are Russian, Yiddish and Polish. The four-person team on AI Lab Transkribus Project has been working with the AI platform for about five years on automated transcription of Polish and more than two years on Yiddish.
